About Sermorelin

Sermorelin is the first 29 residues of human growth hormone releasing hormone, with the C-terminus capped as an amide. Native GHRH runs to 44 residues, and the finding that made sermorelin worth making is that everything past residue 29 can be discarded without losing receptor activity. The remaining fifteen residues contribute to stability and clearance, not to signalling.

That makes it the native-sequence baseline in this catalogue. The sequence is human, unmodified, with nothing bolted on — which is exactly why it is short-lived. Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 cleaves it at the second residue, and reported half-life is on the order of ten to twenty minutes.

Every stabilised GHRH analogue here is a different answer to that same problem. Tesamorelin blocks the enzyme by occupying the N-terminus with a hexenoyl group. CJC-1295 extends persistence by binding albumin. Sermorelin does neither, which is what makes it the control: a comparison between a modified analogue and native signalling needs the unmodified sequence on the other side of it.

At roughly 3,358 g/mol it is also the smallest of the GHRH compounds stocked here, so the same fill weight yields more molar substance than tesamorelin does.
